Countersunk Head

FLAT HEAD (Also know as a Countersunk) Countersunk Screws are used where finished surfaces require a flush fastening unit. The countersunk portion offers good centering possibilities. Metric Screws are supplied to standard dimensions with a 90' degree angle. Imperial Screws are supplied to standard dimensions with an 80' to 82' degree angle. 100 Degree special flat head screws have been developed for use In soft materials to distribute pressure over a larger and less angular surface. Very well adapted for use with thin aluminium, soft plastics, etc. MIL-STD-1515 "Fastener Systems for Aerospace" requires 100 degree countersunk screws.
