High Torque Distribution Ltd and all of its associated companies are committed to leading industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment. To assist us in ensuring best practices, we are QSM accredited in ISO 14001

The key points of our strategy to achieve this are:
 

  • Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.

  • Minimise toxic emissions through the selection and use of its fleet and the source of its power requirement.

  • Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers and suppliers.

  • Source and promote a product range to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution.

  • Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to the Company.

  • Use an accredited program to offset the greenhouse gas emissions generated by our activities. 

 

CONFLICT METALS POLICY 
High Torque Distribution Ltd and all of its associated companies support the EICC initiative of Social and Environmental Responsibility in Metals Supply to the Electronics industry. This initiative opposes the use of precious metals mined in countries where the negative social impacts of mining range from human rights violations and labour issues, to socio-economic disturbances, corruption and conflict. In particular, High Torque supports the ban on precious metals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Indonesia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Zambia and Mozambique. The substances in question are: Cobalt, Gold, Palladium, Tantalum, Tin and Tungsten.While supply chains for these metals can be complex, High Torque Distribution Ltd will undertake reasonable due diligence in our supply chain to ensure these metals are not sourced from this Conflict Region/Conflict Mines. High Torque Distribution Ltd expects our suppliers to adhere to the Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (www.eicc.info) and to source these materials only from socially and environmentally responsible sources. High Torque Distribution Ltd will not knowingly use any metals originating from Conflict Mines. We will regularly question our supply chain to ensure these Conflict Metals are not used.
